ADM Kids

Purpose: To create an environment in which players get lots of shooting reps while simultaneously encouraging them to hone the accuracy of their shot.

Procedure: Divide players into two teams. Gather each team behind its orange dotted line (use a marker to create lines). Stock both teams with an ample supply of pucks. On the whistle, both teams shot their pucks at the bucket (a five-gallon hardware store bucket works well). The team that knocks the bucket over the opposing orange dotted line wins.

Coaching Points: Let the kids have fun. Be sure to use the blue puck with 8U players to encourage proper shooting mechanics. It's very important that this station is enclosed with black divider pads. This will not only help keep the pucks contained, but also help with quickly reloading the gunners.

Equipment: Pucks, dividers, marker, bucket.
