For an 8U player, USA Hockey is the national organization supporting their development through age-appropriate hockey programming and curriculum like the American Development Model. But it’s much more than that. USA Hockey is also their bridge to representing the United States in future international competitions like the Olympics, the IIHF World Championship and the IIHF World Junior Championship.
As the national governing body for ice hockey in America, USA Hockey works every day to promote the growth of hockey in the U.S. and provide the best possible experience for all participants. USA Hockey is the official representative to the U.S. Olympic Committee and the International Ice Hockey Federation, organizing and training men and women’s teams for international competition, and also working closely with the National Hockey League and the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
The organization’s sole focus is hockey, a singular mission that is exclusive to USA Hockey in this country.
