CALGARY, Alberta – The U.S. National Sled Hockey Team is set to play China here today at WinSport Arena in its third and final preliminary-round game of the 2024 World Para Ice Hockey Championship

Puck drop is set for 1:30 p.m. MT, and the game will live stream here.

The winner of today's contest will take the top seed in Group A, earning a bye through the quarterfinals.

The U.S. enters this contest with an unbeaten 17-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record on the season after beating Slovakia, 10-0, and Korea, 11-0, in the opening two games of the 2024 World Para Ice Hockey Championship. The U.S. has outshot its two opponents a combined 51-5.

Team USA is 3-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) against China all-time. The U.S. faced off against China once before this season, winning 11-1 in the preliminary round of the 2023 Para Hockey Cup in Quispamsis, New Brunswick, in December.

After Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.) set new records for most goals (33) and points (52) in a single season for the U.S. National Sled Team in Sunday’s win, captain Josh Pauls (Green Brook, N.J.) is set to become the first player in team history to reach the 200 career games played milestone today.
