As we prepare for another new and exciting hockey season, USA Hockey Magazine is launching a series of special Podcasts that take an in-depth look at the American Development Model.

Created in 2009, the ADM as a nationwide development model designed to help every American hockey player reach his or her full potential by providing them with a structured program to help develop both their individual skills and a passion for the game that will last a lifetime.

Since its inception, the number of supporters of this common sense approach to long-term athlete development has grown exponentially. Still, there seems to be some confusion surrounding the ADM, what it’s all about, why it’s needed and how it can help every youth hockey improve his or her skills while having fun along the way.

Over the course of the next several months we will look at the ADM at every age level, Mites to Midgets, breaking down the program in a clear and concise manner, answering many of your questions along the way and dispelling some of the myths that have sprung up over the years while highlighting some of the many success stories that are taking place within youth hockey associations across the country.

You can check out the USA Hockey Magazine Podcasts at USAHockey.com and USAHockeyMagazine.com as well as on iTunes, where you can sign up to receive these free Podcasts.
