In the past three seasons, only Minnesota has added more new youth hockey players than California. With the Golden State emerging as a hockey state, USA Hockey and the San Jose Junior Sharks, a USA Hockey Model Association, recently hosted a Labor Day Weekend Development Camp for 14U and 15-year-old players. Participating teams included the Junior Sharks, the Junior Ducks (also a USA Hockey Model Association), the Junior Kings, the Phoenix Junior Coyotes and the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders.
